Novo Cabelo Turns Heads at British Hairdressing Business Awards 2025

Rob Wood, Founder and Creative Director at Novo Cabelo has been crowned winner of the Social Stylist of the Year at the British Hairdressing Business Awards 2025.

The category which was sponsored by Salon International at this year’s prestigious British Hairdressing Business Awards, saw the crème le crème of the industry flock to the iconic Royal Lancaster London for an evening celebrating the industry’s finest.

Taking home the top spot in the Social Stylist of the Year category Rob Wood impressed the judges who said:

“Rob’s approach to social media is a masterclass in combining education, authenticity, and emotional storytelling. His content doesn’t just generate likes; it builds trust, community, and genuine transformation. From clever creative campaigns to deeply impactful client stories, Rob has used his platform to break barriers and start meaningful conversations. His ability to turn specialist topics into widely engaging content is proof of both his talent and strategy. This is social media with purpose — and Rob is leading the way.”

Rob’s victory is not only a personal triumph but a shining moment for the Novo Pro community across the UK and internationally. His success highlights the vital role hairdressing businesses and salons play in keeping high streets vibrant, creating jobs, and delivering a sense of community with outstanding service.

Reflecting on the win, Rob Wood from Novo Cabelo said:

“To pick up this accolade really is an iconic moment for both me and the Novo Cabelo family as a whole. To be recognised amongst the industry’s finest really is testament to the hard work we’ve ploughed into the business in recent years. Social media is a key driver for us, and we are committed to authenticity and organic growth which has enabled the epic supporters we have today.

Wow, I’ll say it again, to be recognised nationally among the best in the industry is simply amazing.”

From industry leaders to rising stars, the night brought together the best of the best in British hairdressing to honour innovation, resilience, and brilliance in business. The event, hosted by Ben Shephard, featured emotional speeches, game-changing insights, and electric energy from start to finish.  This year’s awards were judged by an expert hairdressing panel, who brought invaluable industry knowledge and insight to the process.  Winners of the British Hairdressing Business Awards receive not only the industry’s highest accolade – a coveted trophy – but also a year of profile-boosting editorial coverage across Hairdressers Journal International magazine and its platforms, securing recognition both nationally and globally.
